Concrete Hermit new T-shirt line – Spring/Summer 2010
Concrete Hermit are launching their new line, and the new designs are brilliant as usual.
Here are a selected few:
Literati T-Shirts
Part 4 of my promising newcomers to the t-shirt block: Literati.
Literati’s catalog is currently fairly limited, but it draws on interesting and appealing concept: The designs are an visual interpretation of a song’s lyrics – specific lines from specific songs. The current line includes designs inspired by Ryan Leslie, Jay-Z, Gym Class Heroes, Nas, Fabolous and Whitney Houston.
In the future, Literati will be expanding its inspirations to include not only music but other venues of culture – poetry, movies and more.
The Website navigation isn’t exactly intuitive, but the t-shirts offer a great reward for those of us who are looking for original and inspired designs, with interesting and new perspectives on their inspiration – the songs.
Arka’s T-shirts
Consider this part 2 of my mini-series on noteworthy newcomers to the t-shirt block, and this time – Arka Clothing. While their collection is still limited, the presented shirts are an exercise in good taste. Almost every shirt on Arka features an underlying theme of nonsensical playfulness.
Usually, t-shirts like that are getting outflanked in favor of designs with a clearer statement, but that mode of thinking and judging feels more and more wrong to me – Arka’s t-shirts are beautiful, full of color and smooth execution.
The t-shirts themselves are of the highest quality, plus, they are one of the only apparel companies in the world that only print with non-toxic (non-formaldehyde) ink.
Take a look at Arka’s designs:

Color Changing T-Shirts by Ink Fruit
Ink Fruit is introducing an intriguing featured t-shirt – Special thermal inks. The design on the t-shirt changes color according to the temprature. When in cold environment, ink will be black, and while in heat it becomes whatever other color there is. Here are a few examples:
